Everything Interior

There’s a certain satisfaction when designing with photorealism as a goal. To nail that look and getting nitty gritty with the most miniscule details that nobody cares about is what gets at me. To make the dull and mundane seem prestige and high class.

I love replicating real life as closely as I can

What follows is a series of interior images from my explorations. Some are purely replicating a photo into 3D, getting the lighting and colors and textures just right. Others are more story-driven (the films).

I adore Arne Jacobsen's Series 7 chair. There's a certain lightness and nimbleness to it.

This is what I first thought of when I heard the song “I See You Baby” by Gramma Funk and Fatboy Slim. Something with chairs that have fun! Well, maybe I had also just discovered a free library of chairs from Fritz Hansen…

So anyway, I fell in love with the Series 7 chair, it has this lightness to it and when you take it apart you feel each component has an exquisite form that just begs to be animated. Watch the film below.

There's a world beyond chairs and that world is lighting. Especially lamps from Carl Thore.

The Trava Pendant is a beautiful lamp that leaves a warm touch on your soul. As a designer I love to engage with gorgeous objects of the everyday and showcase them in creative ways.

I made the film showcasing the pendant, from close up shots to dreamy shots to an interior setting. Watch the film below.
